I have the B&M gauge under the hood and the autometer T'd in there.
The B&M reads 42psi with vac line on
Autometer read 50psi
vac line off b&M 61psi
autometer 70psi
???? What should i do?

So it's like
Pressure

|-------------- Autometer
|

|
|
B&M
?
If that's the case, the autometer is probably bleeding off some of the pressure so the B&M sees less. They both may be reading a little low, though. I guess it all depends on the T.

Mine reads the same in both places... I am "T"d at the fuel filter too. If these two readings are different, it should only be a pound or two... not ten to twelve !!!
I suspect something is wrong... Teflon in a fitting ??? Also, what kind of gauge do you have ???

maybe there's air in the fitting below the low reading gauge or something.
If it's able to compress an air bubble, the reading would be low, but supplying fuel to two gauges wouldn't bleed off anything. PSI is PSI, assuming the liquids are both of the same compressability.

REDLINE!!!!
I had a similar problem when I first hooked mine up but mine had a 20psi diference.
After talkling to Autometer they said to make sure it's got a GOOD 12v power source and recommend running a wire from the battery and any power being bled off your power(+) wire will cause a discrepancy.
It worked on mine. I changed the + wire I had tapped into under the dash and ran a straight wire and now it reads perfect.
Definitely worth a try.

i know which is wrong!
I got home and the 'T' was damp so i fixed that up and no change.
Tried hooking power up direct to battery no change.
Took it all apart again and hooked up a autometer mech guage that i have and it read the same as the autometer inside the car. so the b&m is bad. i will take it back on sat. and get it replaced
thanks for the help.
Next problem i now know that my fuel pressure is falling off big time at WOT so i need to start working on this now.
Damn it never ends.
